SHOW FEATURE

Our ‘Riot of Colour’ installation is a post apocalyptic interpretation of the after effects of the 2011 London riots.  A red telephone box and London taxi have been rioted and left in neglect, but are now reclaimed by nature. The double yellow lines rise up from the street around the tree to form a bench. The wild plants and trees, fruit and vegetables represent re-growth in the community. The street is being rescued from cars and urban disruption by nature, and a new edible order is taking root! We joined forces with legendary West Coast Graffiti artist, RISK, who created our wall art and personalised our phone booth and taxi cab. This show feature featured heavily in all the press coverage of the 2012 flower show and was one of the most popular gardens at the event.
